City Art
MilaSambre
In the City Art serie Mila Sambre exhibits large works, from 90 to 360 cm, and proposes the silhouette as an art form to talk about her city: Venice. Pieces of plywood recovered from the scraps of the furniture industry panels are thus reused as if they were the canvas of a painting. It is a vision of Venice, a world heritage site, elegant, precious, inimitable, fun and romantic where churches, palaces, ancient bridges, monuments and squares tell the artistic and cultural vivacity that has marked and still marks the history of this city. However, the continuous degrading effects of human intervention on the vulnerable lagoon ecosystem also stand out, which, combined with climate change, threaten to cause irreversible damage.
